Billy D. Washington is an award-winning comedian who has been featured twice at the prestigious Just for Laughs Comedy Festival, as well as at the HBO Aspen Comedy Festival. For three years, he traveled as the opening act for The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin. He has made three appearances on HBO’s Def Comedy Jam, and has also graced Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, Last Comic Standing, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and The Bob and Tom radio show.
Additionally, he spent time on VH-1 as a host and on-air personality. The NBC Stand-up for Diversity initiative recognized him as one of the most diverse comedians in America. Recently, he served as a celebrity judge on the popular Carnival Cruise Line series, “Island Hoppers,” alongside James Van Der Beek. His latest album, “The Washington Posts,” has achieved both critical acclaim and commercial success since its release in 2020, and is distributed by 800 Pound Gorilla and Warner Brothers Records. As a filmmaker, Billy has produced two award-winning short films, with “The Pillow Case” airing on BET. As of late 2023, he is in negotiations with Netflix to produce his first full-length Christmas film. In addition to his remarkable achievements in comedy and film, Billy is also a talented musician and playwright, which adds depth to his multifaceted career in entertainment.
